Children will need to pay £3.25 per day or £16.25 per week for a school meal. Please send this to the school office on a Monday in a named envelope. This can be paid in cash.

Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a Free School Meal under the Government Universal Free School Meals scheme and will not have to pay for a school dinner.

Your child will have a choice each day and will be given a colour band to hand in to staff in the dining hall when they go for their meal.

 

Free School Meals

When your child first starts at Firs we will ask you to complete a Free School Meal form. We will use this information to check if your child is eligible for a free school meal. The information given will only be used for the purpose of checking if your child is eligible.

Packed Lunches

If you prefer your child may have a packed lunch.  We ask that you ensure packed lunches are healthy and well balanced as we do encourage healthy eating at school.  Please avoid sweets, chocolates and fizzy drinks.  Please ensure your child’s lunch bag is clearly named and drinks are in non-breakable containers.

We are happy for you to change your child’s lunch choices, but they must have the same meal type every day for the whole week.  Please inform the school office of any changes in meal requirements.
